Is the Term Educational Assistant Really a Thing Anymore?
Is the Term Educational Assistant Really a Thing Anymore?Over the past two decades, the United States of America has established itself as a great education leader in the world. The fact that the United States Government has recently considered higher education as an essential right for everyone has helped our schools gain more respect. However, the concept of educational equality has been challenged in the classroom. What is the difference between a student assistant? When you teach in an education department, you work with students in their educational opportunity. This means that you give students the opportunity to learn a subject, get good grades, and earn a college degree. The only difference between a student assistant is that the student assistant will be working alongside the student in order to provide support and instruction.A student and an educational assistant are still the same. Both should have a high level of compassion, as well as initiative and perseverance, and a g reat sense of responsibility, to be able to make a difference in the lives of their students. As the United States is now an educational leader, it is important to understand that the term educational assistant has changed slightly. There are now more advanced versions of the term.Students in the US and students in other countries are able to study abroad, while the process of studying at a college or university is a part of their culture. While this may seem impossible to the people from those cultures, it does not mean that they cannot do it, and that the term educational assistant no longer applies.A student who has completed his degree and is in search of a job can look for academic positions as an educational assistant. For example, the United States Post Office offers positions as an education assistant, while other countries might offer positions at libraries, colleges, or other educational institutions. It is important to note that the American public understands the need to t rain up more college graduates, but they do not have the words for the tasks and positions that educational assistants take. However, this is where online colleges come in.

6 Reasons Why Your Kid Should Love Science - TutorNerds
6 Reasons Why Your Kid Should Love Science - TutorNerds Orange County Science Tutor Tips: 6 Reasons Why Your Kid Should Love Science Science is such a great subject that encourages analytical thought and imagination at the same time. Kids who get into science at an early age will learn how to question things they dont understand, investigate, research, and so much more. Science helps kids look at the world in a new light and helps them understand things from all five senses. Whether a kid is collecting samples out in nature or doing research in a lab, science will help them improve their overall academic success and keep them curious about the world around them. 1. Research skills Science can help young learners improve their research skills and understand what type of research is effective and how to do it. Most people think of science when they think about doing research but this skill is actually applicable to pretty much every subject kids study in school. Older students will complete research papers for English, history, and economics and students of all ages can use research to think about the world around them and determine fact versus fiction. 2. The scientific method Kids who get into science will also learn about the specifics of the scientific method. This is a really important aspect of education because it leads to new technology, new medical care, and other important scientific discoveries. Its an important lesson for kids to understand that their research, where appropriate, must adhere to the scientific method and that other peopleâs experiments need to as well. 3. A creative perspective Although we dont immediately think of creativity and imagination when we think about science, this subject can actually broaden the perspective of any student. It helps them think about things outside of the textbook and imagine all five senses when doing experiments or completing research. Kids who are creative learn how to problem solve, deal with difficult situations, discover new ways of being successful, and tend to have a more well-rounded education (READ: 5 Ways to Study for Science Class). 4. Questions and answers One of the most important skills young students can learn is how to ask a question and how to answer it. Whether theyre answering their own question or another personâs, this simple skill is at the heart of all education and learning. Asking the right questions, the ones that lead to a concrete answer or perhaps an infinite number of answers can be really difficult for a young child who is just beginning their academic career. Science encourages students to ask a ton of questions and come up with different answers that can lead to a solution. 5. Thinking outside the box Science also encourages students to think outside the box. If an experiment fails, students will have to look for a new solution or create an entirely new experiment. If one thing doesnt work, they have to figure out another way to be successful. Of course, this train of thought is helpful in science, but its also helpful in all aspects of life both academic and personal. Much of education encourages students to think inside the box, so its essential for them to be able to step back, take a moment and think about all the possibilities available to them. 6. Details Studying science also helps students develop a detail-oriented way of thinking. Whether doing research, conducting an experiment, or learning about scientists from the past, students will have to look at every minute detail to discover a solution to whatever problem theyve been given. Many careers require people to be extremely detail oriented, so its a great idea for students to develop the skill early on. Want to improve your grade in science class? What to do if you havent got the grades you want
What to do if you havenât got the grades you want With results day impending, nerves are high. Much of your time will have been spent in lectures, revising, preparing for and sitting your exams. Results day is just around the corner and you are probably hoping for your expected grades for your long awaited place at university. But what do you do if you haven't got the grades you expected? CHECK YOUR UCAS ACCOUNT No matter what grades you open on results day, there will be options open to you. Firstly, do not panic! Login and check the status of your application on your UCAS account here. You may still be accepted to your preferred option even with your lower grades. If you weren't as successful as planned, get a head start and learn more about about the other universities you applied to. Read the prospectus, visit an open day and consider accepting another university offer. UCAS EXTRA UCAS extra enables you to view courses you can apply for based on your results in the UCAS Course Search. UCAS Extra runs from 25 February to 4 July for applicants who made five initial choices, but have either been unsuccessful in all cases or have declined any offers they received. If you're eligible for UCAS Extra, an 'Add an Extra choice' option will appear on your screen which you can use to apply for a course. CLEARING Clearing allows universities to fill up any vacant spots on their course. This year, Results Day is on the 17 August 2017 so this is when Clearing 2017 will begin for the majority of students. You can use UCAS's search tool to find university courses that still have places available. Make a list of courses you're interested in, do some research on them, then call them up to discuss. You'll need your Clearing number available so the uni can access your UCAS application - you can find this on Track. REMARKING If you believe your grades are wrong, you can ask for them to be checked, Only schools or private candidates can appeal an A-level result.. This can be done as a priority re-mark if your university application is at stake. You'll need to do this through your school or college, and you'll pay a fee which you'll only get back if your grades are changed. Discuss this option with your tutor or year head as soon as you get your results. RESITTING Most, not all, universities accept resit grades and recognise the benefits, so your degree plans are generally not compromised by retaking papers. If you don't want to enter clearing (or haven't found anything suitable) and are committed to going to university, re-taking your A Levels could be an option. Speak to your college first to see if you are able to join A2 lessons for the year. ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION If your intention was to go to uni in order to pursue a specific career, then why not consider looking into alternative routes. You could work in an entry-level position and still gain first-hand experience of working in the industry and have the opportunity to apply for promotions as your career progresses. You could also apply for apprenticeships or school leaver programmes, which allow you to train for a high-skilled job as you earn. You may also like to consider Foundation degrees which may be offered by further education colleges.

Raising Bilingual Children How Any Family Can Get It Right
Raising Bilingual Children How Any Family Can Get It Right Raising Bilingual Children: How Any Family Can Get It Right Families make so many difficult decisions for their children.Deciding on the best way to discipline them.Looking for good role models for them.Saying no to chocolate ice cream for breakfast even though that would be awesomeFortunately, theres one decision thats a no-brainer: Teaching children more than one language from a young age.The benefits of bilingualism will impact all areas of their life, from opening up fantastic job opportunities to broadening their perspective on the world.Theres also research ?showing that bilingualism positively impacts the development of cognitive abilities, and that bilingual speakers have, among other enhanced capacities?, greater reception to feedback and criticism and a higher level of attentive focus. In essence, the question should never be should I raise a bilingual child? but instead, how can I raise a bilingual child? And thats exactly what well address here today. The answer of how will depend somewhat on your household and who already spe aks what language(s). Whether youre monolingual or bilingual, well give you some practical tips for building a happily bilingual home that your children will thrive in. Different Ways to Structure a Bilingual HouseholdDepending on the languages spoken in your household, there are a number of different models you can choose to effectively encourage bilingualism. To get started, check out these six models outlined in Martyn Barretts The Development of Language. Theyll help parents and guardians decide when and in what environments to use native versus target language communication. For instance, a Spanish-native parent and an English-native parent living in the U.S. would use the one parent, one language model, with each parent using his or her native language to speak with the child.Identifying the model your household uses will establish clear communication guidelines within the natural and healthy? confusion that does come along when a child is learning two languages at once.D ont Let Myths About Bilingualism Get to YouParents raising children in a bilingual household are often on the receiving end of well-meant-but-ignorant comments made by teachers and others who arent familiar with how bilingual children learn.First of all, its important to know that some bilingual childrens vocabulary skills will seem behind their peers in early education, but this gap quickly closesâ"research shows that its gone by age five, and other skills arent affected. Moreover, the perceived academic gap in earlier years is largely due to a failing? in standardized tests to properly measure dual-language learners.Raising Bilingual Children: How Any Family Can Get It RightAs noted earlier, different households will approach their kids bilingual educations in different ways. Below, well provide practical tips in two categories: one you can use if youre monolingual and another if youre bilingual.Of course, there may be some overlap depending on your environment and what language s other members of your nuclear or extended family speak. Overall these tips should help you make conscious linguistic choices for your home that support bilingualism. Before we get to those, theres one tip thats useful no matter what your household looks like: Exposing your children to authentic target language content like childrens stories, games and more. One especially effective and kid-friendly tool is FluentU, which has real-world videos (like movie trailers, childrens songs, cartoons and more) thatve been transformed into language learning experiences. Each video comes with interactive captions that provide in-context definitions and pronunciations for any word.FluentUs innovative Learn Mode also creates flashcards and exercises for each video, to help with memorization of new vocabulary. Its an awesome way to teach your kids both the sound and culture of the target language, while ensuring they actively build their vocabularies.Plus, there are plenty of TV clips, YouTube vide os and more that adults will love, so you can develop your language skills alongside your children!Tips for Monolingual Parents/GuardiansPlan Family Activities in the Target LanguageHands-on activitiesâ"especially ones that utilize visualsâ"will help children contextualize and absorb their target language. For example, you can get a cookbook in the target language and learn to cook a traditional dish from a country where its spoken. Board games in the target language are another great way to build language skills and have family bonding at the same time.Attend Local Cultural Events That Involve the Target LanguageCities have tons of these and offer a great opportunity to expose children to the cuisine, language and people whose native language is their second. For example, Chicago hosts an annual Flavors of Mexico festival and New York City hosts an annual 116th Street Festival, the largest Latin festival in the Northeast. To find these types of events, try searching on sites like Meetup.com or checking out the Events tab on Facebook (on the left side of the page, under Explore). Your local universitys language department or public library could also point you to some great options.Encourage Children to Read Aloud from Books in Both LanguagesReading aloud can help children parse through the different phonetic rules of each language while supporting overall literacy.Better yet, encourage them to read theatrically and dramatize the story! Beyond just making reading more fun, it can also help them find their distinct voice for each language, which is a bilingual phenomenon that tends to happen naturally.Become a Homestay Family for Kids Who Speak the Target LanguageIntroducing your child to a new friend who speaks their target language will give them essential, authentic communication practice from a young age. Itll also help them understand the relevance of bilingualism as they build a new friendship in a second language.Simply asking around, such as making a Facebook post asking for recommendations, can be a good starting point to find homestay opportunities. Many families get put in contact with one another through a mutual friend. If youd like to go through more official channels, Cultural Homestay International is a thorough and reliable resource for families wanting to learn more about hosting an international guest. Another option is registering as a host for international families looking to send their child overseas through Homestay.com.Tips for Bilingual Parents/GuardiansBe Deliberate About When You Code SwitchThis gets back to the bilingual household models we discussed earlier. Its important not to vacillate randomly between your native language and other languagesâ"instead, consider your surrounding environment and (if applicable) your partners languages, and be deliberate about when, if ever, you switch languages with the child. However, note that code switching (or switching between languages/modes of communication) on th e childs part is common and shouldnt cause concern. Its actually a good sign and evidence of their expanded vocabulary capacities.Remember that its important to stick to your communication model even when switching to another language may feel easier. This is especially relevant when disciplining or reinforcing rules; it may be easier to switch in the moment but, barring safety issues, try to adhere to your dual-language model as strictly as possible.Read Aloud? to Kids in the Target LanguageThere have been tons of studies done on the value of reading aloud to children, but this is especially important in raising a bilingual child if youre bilingual. Not only is it great exposure to the target language, itll also get them comfortable reading itâ"not just speaking and listening to it.It might not seem like a big deal now, but developing target language literacy skills early can help lay the groundwork for bilingual academic and professional success down the line.Have Children Write Letters in Both Languages to Family Members and FriendsWriting to relatives or family friends is a good practice to adopt in general because it encourages children to expand their concept of family.Writing in different languages supplements this by reminding them to expand their concept of languageâ"its not just something theyre learning for themselves, its something that has positive implications for their relationships with others.Plus, its great practice! Check their letters for grammar or spelling errors and have them correct any that you see before sending the letters out.Leave Lunchbox Messages in the Minority LanguageThe minority language in this case refers to the household language thats not spoken in the surrounding environment. For example, if youre a native Mandarin speaker teaching your child Mandarin while living in Canada, Mandarin would be the minority language.Leaving lunchbox messages will help keep the language relevant throughout the childs day without interrupt ing the schoolwork or social communication thats done in the majority language. Plus, itll be a sweet reminder of family and home! Now that youve solidified and verified your resolve to raise a bilingual child, its time to choose a course of action and dive in.Strategies will and should vary from household to household.Every bilingual household is different with regard to who speaks what language, the surrounding community and the temperament of the child.Just remember that youre giving your child a wonderful gift thatll last a lifetime.Good luck!

Raw Chemistry Pheromone - Attract Others to YouRaw Chemistry Pheromone is an innovative product that is now available in the market today. It is a chemical substance that releases pheromones from it when exposed to the animal kingdom. Since these pheromones attract other animals, you have to put on your best clothing when going out of the house with the package. Just remember not to expose this product to large areas.Although it has been found in all kinds of animals, it is most effective on frogs and other birds because they are the most fond of being around humans. Since it is animal based, it does not mix well with anything other than animals. You can also apply this product to the hair or fur of animals to attract them to you. This has the same effect as that of Cologne and attracts your human companions to you more. Using it during this season will allow you to attract other male animals to you.It comes in 2 different bottles and you can either spray it on to yourself or place i t under your arms. Most people use the spray version because it is easy to use. Before applying the pheromone, there are certain things you should do first. First, you need to make sure that your body is completely clean because it is easily absorbed through skin. After cleansing, clean your clothes by washing them and putting them through the dryer. You should keep a spray bottle handy for applying the pheromone. The spray bottle can be used as a brush against the animal that you want to attract. This helps to get close to the animal. However, if you choose to use the brush, you must remember to move your hair so that it is not in contact with the pheromone. This will help the pheromone to work faster. Just hold the spray bottle close to the individual's hair and apply it. It does not matter if the animal you want to attract is a mouse or a human. The pheromone will give off a chemical smell to attract other animals to your location. This pheromone works very well with water. You will notice that the pheromone starts to show its attraction to other animals after a few minutes. Just allow the pheromone to come to you will have your new best friend. This product can be applied to any kind of animal.
What Is the Law of Conservation of Energy?
What Is the Law of Conservation of Energy? The law of conservation of energy is a commonly used concept in all areas of biology, including natural science. It also serves as the basis for research on the human physiology and the body's interactions with the environment. The law of conservation of energy (or, more specifically, the law of conservation of energy/work) states that energy can be stored, dissipated, transferred, or transformed, depending on the choice of term. The overall expression describes the way a system may look for any system that has multiple cycles of use and/or consumption, where the quantities and frequencies of these cycles determine the state of an isolated system. The primary importance of the law of conservation of energy (or, more specifically, the law of conservation of energy/work) lies in the fact that it can be applied to any system, including biological systems, and that any explanation of how the system functions may rest on this core concept. The scien tific study of biology is based on the idea that life is, at its very core, a system, a self-contained set of interdependent components with a limited number of possible states of the system. These states are determined by the food source available, the chemical composition of the environment, and the physical activity of the living being in question. In turn, the biochemistry of living beings determines what those states are and how the system interacts with its environment. All living things on Earth have evolved to be an integrated system, in which all components work together, either to feed or reproduce, to obtain energy, or to expel waste products and manage internal processes. This idea is highly applicable to the study of molecular biology, which explores the structural and chemical bonds of proteins and related molecules. In biological systems, one of the most significant aspects of the living world is the regulation of energy. To date, many theories have been proposed about the mechanisms of energy use and transport in living systems, but the study of energy and molecular biology has never been more fruitful. The term 'the law of conservation of energy' was first used in the book On a Physical Theory by Sir Isaac Newton. That book, as well as other works by Newton and Isaac Newton, describe the flow of energy in a chemical reaction. Newton described it as 'a constant and essential part of nature.'In essence, the law of conservation of energy was developed by Scottish chemist, William Ramsay, who worked with the discovery of organic compounds and thermodynamics. His study of the molecular structure of these compounds found a way to study their chemical bonds, and this discovery led to the development of a mathematical formula to describe the conservation of energy (or, more specifically, the law of conservation of energy/work). In studying the results of Ramsay's studies, scientists discovered a clear relationship between the amount of energy released d uring chemical reactions and the overall amount of energy in the system.Although the concept of the 'law of conservation of energy' has only been developed in the modern era, it is still considered to be a universal concept in today's world. Therefore, any explanation of a biochemical process should always include the basic premise that there is a clear link between the biological system and the chemical reaction(s) it creates.
